Training and Background
I graduated in May 2019 with my master’s degree in Social Work from the George Warren Brown School at Washington University in St Louis.
I have been practicing as a therapist since I graduated, first as a community-based crisis therapist and then as an outpatient trauma therapist at a Children’s Advocacy Center. I have facilitated adolescent and young adult Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) groups and trauma-informed parenting classes.
Professional Qualifications:
Trained in EMDR (part I and II of the EMDR International Association-approved training, plus 10 hours of EMDR consultation)
Nationally certified in TF-CBT from the Center for Traumatic Stress in Children and Adolescents
Trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) by an agency that was certified by DBT-Linehan Board of Certification, and have facilitated adolescent and adult DBT groups
ITCT Learning Collaborative Training (introduction and advanced, plus consultation support)
Trained in Trauma-Informed Play Therapy Techniques (including 15-hour standard Sandtray training)
Informally trained in IFS
